"Chico Maria" (Medium Dry)

Description

Grown in the north of the island of Terceira, in the parish of Biscoitos, this wine comes from basaltic rock structures - called "biscoitos" (cookies) - and is cultivated inside the "curraletas" formed by rubble walls that protect the vines from the wind and sea air while creating a micro-greenhouse effect, favouring fruit maturation. It is made from ancient castes of wine from the Azores, such as Verdelho from the Azores and traces of the Terrantez from the island of Terceira. With a straw-colored-gold, this wine has a fine aroma of tobacco, sea air and dried fruit, with a fairly full-bodied and velvety bittersweet flavor

Alcohol: 17% Vol.

Suggestions: to be drunk fresh (around 10ºC), mainly as an aperitif
