In due time, actors with the most diverse ideologies came on the scene, carrying projects that clashed in their essence. On an island steeped in conservative thinking, strongly influenced by the Church, the reaction was not delayed and took advantage of all the loopholes to contain the revolutionary momentum. The approach of this political and social upheaval focuses only on Terceira Island, in a chronological limit that covers the beginning of the revolution until the inauguration of the regional government, on September 8, 1976.
