"Fénix Angrence" by Pe. Manuel Luís Maldonado 3 Volumes IHIT

The "Fenix Angrence" is a work by priest Manuel Luis Maldonado, that although being about the genealogy and history of the Azores in general, devotes much of its attention to the island of Terceira. The work was written between 1683 and 1711, since the last chapters are incomplete, presumably because of the author's death.

The work, in its historical part, is divided into three parts:

Book First - 14th Century, divided into breaths, each corresponding to a decade, beginning in 1450;

Book II - 15th Century, divided into breaths, each corresponding to one or more decades;

Book III - From 16th Century subdivided into breaths, each corresponding to a decade, ending in 1690 Decade.
