Its consultation, only possible in libraries, has become a difficult task for many scholars and curious in the history of the parishes of Terceira, which is why this reprint is more than justified.

This edition follows in full the text of the first edition. Photographs and engravings are also reproductions of those in the first edition and have only undergone visual improvement by the available electronic means.
